Viola Floral (916 Colorado Ave., Santa Monica): “all workshops are non-refundable, but if something comes up, feel free to send a friend in your place – flower joy is always transferable.”Source: Viola Floral, Sips ’n Stems workshop page (checked 2026-10-21)
WildFlora (Studio City): “All workshops are non-refundable, but you can transfer it to another person if something pops up and you can't make it.”Source: WildFlora, Spooky Season Floral Design workshop page (checked 2026-10-21)
MaiSon Flowers LA (Burbank): cancel 7 or more days out for full store credit, 2–6 days out for store credit worth 50% of the fee, and under 24 hours or a no-show gets nothing. “You may transfer your spot to another person at no charge with at least 24 hours’ notice by contacting us with the new attendee’s name and contact information.”Source: MaiSon Flowers LA, Terms & Conditions (section 6) (checked 2026-10-21)
Kristhetic (Downtown LA workshops): “Tickets are non-refundable, as materials are prepared in advance for each guest. If you’re unable to attend, you may transfer your ticket to another guest with at least 48 hours notice.”Source: Kristhetic, DTLA workshop page (checked 2026-10-21)
The short answer
Usually yes. All four LA floral studios we checked say workshop tickets are non-refundable, and all four let another person take your spot. The flowers are bought and prepped per guest, so a studio loses nothing when a different name shows up, but it does lose the stems if nobody comes.
Watch the notice window
Two of the four set a deadline for the handoff: MaiSon Flowers LA wants at least 24 hours' notice and Kristhetic at least 48 hours. Viola Floral and WildFlora don't publish a deadline, but telling them early is still the safe move. If you're a week or more out, MaiSon gives full store credit instead, which may beat finding a replacement.
How to hand off the spot
Email the studio from the address you booked with. Give the workshop name and date and the new guest's name and contact details, and ask them to confirm. Ask the person taking your spot to pay you back once the studio has confirmed the new name, not before.
Listing a workshop spot on Unrefundable
A single ticket is usually easiest to pass to a friend. For a pricier workshop, a couples' class or a multi-seat booking, you can list it free under classes and workshops: we check your booking and the studio's transfer terms, introduce someone who wants it, and charge 8% of what you recover only after the studio confirms the new guest.
