How to sell a nonrefundable booking you can't use (without getting scammed)
A practical checklist for passing on a prepaid event, class, camp or rental: check the terms, ask the provider, and keep the money safe.

1. Find the transfer terms
Search your confirmation, contract or terms page for “transfer,” “assign,” “non-transferable,” “substitute” and “name change.” Nonrefundable doesn't always mean non-transferable. (This is general information, not legal advice.)
2. Ask the provider, in writing
Most providers care about one thing: that the spot is filled by someone who will follow their rules. Ask if a named person can take your place and whether there's a fee.
3. Find someone who wants it
Friends first, then communities that care about the thing you booked. Or list it on Unrefundable: we review the paperwork and send interested buyers your way without publishing your contact details.
4. Let the provider confirm before money moves
The safest order is: provider confirms the new person, then the buyer pays the provider (or reimburses you). Avoid gift cards, crypto and unprotected payment apps, and walk away from anyone who pressures you to pay first.
