Can you transfer your wedding date at Greystone Mansion & Gardens?

Short answer
Probably not as a straight transfer. The City of Beverly Hills' current Greystone brochure says an approved event permit is non-transferable, and that cancellations or date changes forfeit the $1,500 reception deposit. Your outside vendors (photographer, florist, DJ, caterer) are booked separately and may still be transferable.

What to do next
- Ask the Greystone events office (GreystoneEvents@beverlyhills.org, per the brochure) whether anything can be done before you assume it's lost. Policies are the city's to apply.
- Because Greystone is location-only, your vendor contracts are separate. Those are often the easier bookings to pass on.
- Read your own contract for the words “assign,” “transfer” and “non-transferable.” Your signed contract, not a brochure or FAQ, is what applies to you.
If a transfer is possible
List it on Unrefundable for free. We review the contract, find an interested couple, and only charge an 8% success fee once the venue or vendor confirms the transfer in writing. If the venue says no, ask about your outside vendors instead: those contracts are separate.
